The tesserae placement is completed, and I’m reminded of a very important aspect in design – resist the temptation to rush. Instead, stop and think things through. Take time to enjoy the journey.
Last night, I had a clear picture in my mind of what the final mosaic should look like. I had considered pushing on, but decided to wait. This morning, after a review, it was clear that the mosaic needed an added dimension, something slight and yet significant. It was imperative to stay within the color scheme. There was plenty of space, so a light pink ceramic was added to the top and bottom border. That was the lift the mosaic needed. Tomorrow, it will be grouted.
